Learn about IG Family Foundation

This guide provides basic information to assist Insight Global internal employees who are sponsoring an Insight Global consultant seeking a grant from the Insight Global Family Foundation (IGFF).

What is a hardship?

Every hardship is different, so context clues are important. IGFF is in place to help get someone out of a rut but everyone’s situation will be different. IGFF is in place to lend a hand for unexpected, unforeseen, temporary circumstances. It is not in place to subsidize income or rent, help someone buy their first home, or allow someone to have paid time off not associated with an unplanned hardship.

How does the process work?

  • Direct your consultant to staging-igffnew.kinsta.cloud and go to ‘Request for Grant
  • In order to be eligible, they must have 6 months of accumulated service and be an active employee to apply
  • Once they submit, they will receive a notification of receipt and you as the sponsor will also receive an email which will include a link to this page and a check list to guide you as you gather supporting documentation
  • A contact from HR will be assigned to assist you in this process
  • If all conditions are met, the application will move on to the Grant Committee
  • You will be alerted of IGFF’s decision within approximately 3 weeks and will close the loop directly with your consultant

What is supporting documentation?

Supporting documentation is not a requirement for someone to receive a grant but it helps the committee have a better idea of what the current hardship is. Depending on the crisis, supporting documentation may be medical bills, apartment leases, monthly finances or other documents/stories that help pull back the curtain to let the committee know what’s going on.

Do not over promise and under deliver.

Do not advise a consultant to make a decision on the hopes that he/she will receive a grant from the IGFF. Insight Global has roughly 25K employees, so grants must be prioritized in terms of need and available funds. Listen to your consultant, champion their story but level set with them and let them know that you will do your best but cannot make any promises.

No two stories are alike.

Everyone has a different chemical makeup and comes from different walks of life. The way you handle one situation may be completely different than the next situation or the way your colleague would and that’s okay. During this process, if it’s tough to decide whether the application and supporting evidence meet the requirements, please lean on your HR contact to help you navigate the check list.
